Speech Language Pathologist - Southern California
**_Providence St. Joseph Health System has full time, part time and per diem position openings across our Southern California - High Desert region_** . We are seeking an Speech Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care services in all assigned areas that includes evaluation, assessment, treatment planning based on the functional needs of the patient, program development, and evaluation of the response to care and readjustment of the treatment plan as required. Plans and provides patient, family, peer and community education and coordinates services with other health care professionals including interaction with physicians responsible for the care of the patient.


Located in Mission Viejo, Mission Hospital is a Level II trauma center that offers inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to complex medical patients including those with head and neck injuries, and traumatic brain injuries. Unlike most rehabilitation facilities, our Acute Rehabilitation programs have seven distinct accreditations from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), equipping us to treat children, adolescents, and adults.


Located in the heart of Orange Country, St. Joseph Hospital is our largest ministry in Southern California. We are currently a 460 bed, acute care hospital with over 3,000 caregivers and 1,000 physicians on staff.

Our multidisciplinary team approach means that our medical and therapy specialists are working together, bringing their combined skills and expertise to your plan of care. Our general therapy includes a combination of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy to aid patients in maintaining or recovering physical capabilities after a serious injury or illness. These therapies are offered on both an inpatient and outpatient basis at St. Joseph Hospital.

St. Mary's Rehab and Therapy Services is a leader in rehabilitation services at our Outpatient Therapies Clinic. We have a multidisciplinary team of highly experienced, expert physical, occupational, and speech therapists. Our facility features private rooms and fully-equipped gym. St. Mary Medical Center rehabilitation and therapy services offers comprehensive treatment across a variety of specialties. These specialties consist of cancer rehabilitation, hand therapy, incontinence treatment, lymphedema therapy, neuro rehabilitation physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, and spine and orthopedic physical therapy.



+ Graduate of an accredited Master's Degree Program in Communicative Disorders, or comparable education (must be ASHA approved).

+ Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.


+ 1 year experience as a practicing therapist


+ ·Possession of a valid, current Speech Pathology license.

+ ·American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider level.
